We are seeking groups. If you work for a company or organization that is looking for volunteer opportunities for a large group of people, please contact us! We welcome volunteers at least in high school and older.
Volunteer Roles Include:
- Set Up & Take Down Crews – You could be setting up tables, putting up signs, or assisting Makers when they arrive. This role may include heavy lifting.
1. Fri, October 6 : Evening, 6:00 p.m.
2. Sat, October 7 : Morning, 7:00 a.m.
Evening, 6:00 p.m.
- Maker Hospitality – You’ll help Makers with check in, give them welcome packages, and direct them to their location. Other duties, such as delivering refreshments to the Makers, may be assigned.
- Registration Tables – Pass out programs to attendees, scan EventBrite tickets (if attendees have one), and answer basic questions! Providing accurate & helpful information in a friendly way is absolutely necessary!
- Room Monitors – Help Makers in a variety of ways: retrieve equipment, finding Maker Faire staff for special assistance, and watching booths/rooms for bathroom breaks. Answering attendees’ questions.
- Photography and Videography – As the Faire grows, it is getting harder and harder for staff to be available to capture the awesome moments occurring throughout the day. Help out the Baton Rouge Mini Maker Faire by sharing your photography & videography skills. Your work could be featured on website and social media accounts.
