Join the LA Division of Archaeology & the LA Office of State Parks as we host demonstrations with prehistoric tool technologies! Use a pumpdrill, grind seed with a mano & metate, weave a mat with palm fronds, & make pottery using ancient methods!

Karla is the Collections Manager for the Louisiana Division of Archaeology. She has 12 years of experience in archaeology throughout the southeast and mid-south. She has worked in Alabama and Tennessee before moving to Louisiana and has a worked on both large and small projects. She also enjoys using archaeology and artifacts to teach people about local and regional history.
